    Establishment of research institute specialized in ginseng through absorption and integration of the ginseng departments under the Central Monopoly Bureau’s Technology Research Center

  • Ginseng Research Center under Korea Ginseng and Tobacco Corporation

    Establishment of Korea Monopoly Bureau followed by the new name Korea Tobacco and Ginseng Corporation, with KGRI expanded and reorganized as Korea Ginseng and Tobacco Research Institute and ginseng research center under with added research manpower
